I attended the Derek Shaw open day, as I am a shareholder in one of their geldings (who features very heavily in this album!) called Desert Light aka Porky. I first saw Desert Light as a 2yo at Nottingham, and instantly liked him. I've spent the last few years trying to defend him against my brother, who works for Derek, who insists on calling him weight-related names. His favourite past time would appear to be singing "who ate all the grass" to my poor boy. It was a great morning, getting to photograph swimming (albeit poorly) for the first time, and watching one of the shareholder three year olds on the gallops.
